This course is intended for graduate and undergraduate students whose major is Physics or Astrophysics. We will discuss various aspects of radio astronomy, such topics as the nature of the radio signals, signal processing, designs of receiving systems, atmospheric effects, and observing strategies with modern radio observatories, including single-aperture telescopes and interferometric arrays. The class is aimed at building a solid foundation for students to further pursue astrophysical research in the radio waveband.
